Swipe launches Elite 2 smartphone with 1GB RAM and 4G LTE, priced at Rs 4,666.

On Friday domestic brand Swipe Technologies launched its first affordable 4G LTE-enabled smartphone Elite 2, priced at Rs. 4,666. Swipe Elite 2 It will exclusively available from Flipkart starting from November 8th. 

The new phone packs a 4.5-inch qHD display and will be powered by a 64-bit 1.3 GHz quad-core 64-bit MediaTek processor and is coupled with 1 GB RAM. The phone has a inbuit memory of 8 GB which is expandable up to 32 GB via SD card. The handset is power packed with a 1,900 mAH battery and Device runs on Swipe’s own Freedom OS with Android 5.1 (Lollipop).

Founder and chief executive of Swipe Technologies, Shripal Gandhi, said “Elite has been a huge success for Swipe, and it was sold out on Flipkart in record time when the device was launched in August this year. For Indian customers, quality wins over everything else. Keeping this in mind, we are coming up with this exciting new offering."

In addition Gandhi said, that "The company planned to hold special preview for customers in select cities. We are also partnering with Uber to give free rides for preview for the tech-savvy, aspirational online customers to get their hands on this new device before placing the order online.”

The Device comes with a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5 megapixel front camera. It also has dual SIM support, similar to most other Swipe smartphones. Swipe’s new Freedom OS has off-screen gestures, Swipe Search to search local files and the internet quickly, Swipe Box online storage with 100GB of free storage, Themes and more customization options.

The Swipe ELITE 2 comes in only Black color variant . Swipe said that the smartphone will be exclusively available for Uber riders from October 30 to November 7 and the sale will be open only in Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi for one week, before it goes on sale on Flipkart.

Apple set to launch its Watch in India next week: Priced at Rs 36,999

Apple is now set to launch its most innovated Watch in india on 6 November for Rs. 36,999. Apple smartwatch, which is compatible only with iPhones, costs $349 (Rs. 23,000) for the base model In the US. No official confirmation has arrived from Apple, but it is expected that Apple Watch would be available in 2 variants in India: 38 mm and 42 mm sizes.


There are three basic variants, which would be uniform: Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch, and Apple Watch Edition.The first two come with sapphire crystal to protect the screen from cracking, whereas the sports version has a strengthened Ion-X glass on the display. Force Touch and digital crown are features that set the Apple Watch apart from other smartwatches in the market.

The digital crown that can be turned to scroll or zoom on the screen; one can press on this crown to return to the previous page. Force Touch, which has inspired iPhone 6S' new 3D Touch feature, can differentiate between a tap and press. Apple Watch also has a built-in mic and speaker using which one can complete a conversation as long as the iPhone is connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Among the key features of Apple Watch are always-on Siri, tracking users' fitness, third-party app support and it receives phone calls as well as iMessages and SMSs. It can act as a walkie-talkie and operate the iPhone camera as well as Apple TV. There is no camera but the iPhone's photos can be seen on Apple Watch.

Apple Watch runs on watch OS, which is a special OS designed with circular icons on the home screen, which are accessible via touch screen or the tiny crown on the side of the watch. watch OS 2.0 has already been released last month, which has introduced features such as activation lock and more native apps.

The Apple Watch was only launched in a some selected countries including US, France, Japan, and the UK in April, and has since seen a phased rollout in other countries.

Xiaomi reveals 60'' 4K Television Mi TV 3 with aluminium body.

Today Xiaomi has introduced its third-era television Mi TV 3, a 60-inch TV with 4K display at a price tag of Rs. 50,000. It is the successor to its Mi TV 2. Mi TV 3 for now been unveiled only in the China market. For Now there is no word on its global availability.

The Mi TV 3 features an LG-made 60-inch 4K display with lossless quality, MEMC motion compression for super clear motion pictures, and color range. The display comes with full aluminum body running along the edges. It includes a ultra-thin 11.6mm edge with a metal backplate . It is powered by a MStar 6A928 processor consisting of Cortex-A17 and Mali T760 GPU. An 8GB eMMC 5.0 flash is utilized as the internal capacity. The Mi TV 3 is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The company hasn't revealed any information about the RAM module.

It comes with a main board that is built into the TV's independent speakers and helpfully it connects the TV's main display with other add-ons. The easy-to-reach ports are located above the speaker, making the home entertainment setup seem flawless. On the connectivity side, there are three HDMI ports, two USB ports, one VGA port, one Ethernet port, one AV in, an output for Subwoofer, and a standard RF Modulator. On the audio side, the Mi TV 3 highlights Virtual Surround technology, deeper bass, and conservation improve tool with auto volume balance support.

The company says that sound qualities for the TV has been assembled by Grammy award winner Luca Bugnardi, and former research head at Philips acoustics Wang Fuyu. The speaker bar, which comes with the TV, is made of four mid-range 2.5-inch subwoofer. Company has rolled out a major hardware change in the Mi TV 3. It says that it has separated the processor board from the screen, as doing this significantly decreases the replacement expense of inner segments. This also expands the life cycle of the TV.

Xiaomi will be offering the Mi TV main board independently, which allows you to transform more seasoned TVs into smart TVs, while additionally giving you another sound framework, costing Rs. 10,000. Intex on friday has launched a new smartphone under 10k - Cloud Swift, priced at Rs. 8888. The smartphone will be exclusively avialable via Snapdeal. While registrations have already began, it will go on sale starting from October 20.

Lenovo launched Android based Tab 2 A7-20 Tablet at Rs. 5,499 .

Lenovo has launched the new Tablet Tab 2 A7-20 based on Android in its A series, priced at Rs. 5,499. Lenovo Tab 2 A7-20 is already available at a discounted price of Rs. 5,001 via Snapdeal.


The tablet sports a 7-inch IPS display along with 1024x600 pixels resolution. It packs a quad-core MediaTek processor under the hood clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 1GB of DDR3 RAM. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and is upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop; there is no update as of now about the update release dates.

Zopo launched Speed 7 Plus in India at Rs 14,999.

Micromax Launches Bolt Q331, Bolt Q338 and Bolt S302 in India.

Yesterday Micromax has expanded its Bolt series by launching three new smartphones namely Bolt S302, Bolt Q331, and Bolt Q338, priced at Rs. 3,199, Rs. 4,999, and Rs. 6,499, respectively. The company is also offering 200MB of free Internet data only for WhatsApp or talk time worth Rs. 40 per month for five months from Airtel. 

"Around 70-80 million Indians convert from their feature phones to smartphones every year and more and more consumers will use a smartphone for their initial computing and Internet needs leapfrogging the PC and laptop generation. We believe that smartphones will play a significant role in meeting PM's 'Digital India' vision to connect the next billion. Micromax, being a front runner in the sub 7.5k mass segment handsets, has taken a step ahead in its philosophy of democratizing technology to the masses and has come up with a special program to enable the consumers to take the next technological leap towards the smartphones from feature phones," said Shubhajit Sen, CMO, Micromax Informatics during the launch.



The Micromax Bolt Q331 sports a 5-inch (480x854 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by a quad-core Spreadtrum (SC7731G) processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with 512MB of RAM. It also runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and It comes along with 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash alongside a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 4GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). The Bolt Q331 packs a 2000mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include 3G , Bluetooth , Wi-Fi and USB. The smartphone is backed by a 2000mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 7.5 hours talk time, and 360 hours of standby time.
The Bolt Q338 has a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) IPS display. Device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6580) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The phone runs on latest Android Lollipop 5.1 and It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The phone comes with 8GB built-in storage and 32GB expandable via microSD. Connectivity options include 3G , Bluetooth , Wi-Fi and USB.



The Bolt S302 has a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) TFT display and is powered by a 1GHz single-core Spreadtrum (SC7715) processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.4.3 It comes with 4GB of built-in storage, supports 32GB of expandable storage via microSD. The phone sports 2-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. It is powered packed by a 1,450 mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 4 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time. Preloaded apps on the Micromax Bolt smartphones include Chaatz, CleanMaster, Newshunt, SwiftKey, Snapdeal, Saavn, Quikr, Hike, and Hotstar apps. Also onboard is the Firstouch launcher. Both smartphones features similar innards with the battery and screen size being the only difference.
